Witness appeal following wilful fire-raising at building site in Hamilton
Officers are appealing for information after a digger and excavator were set on fire at a building site in Hamilton.
The incident happened around 11.30pm on Friday, 24 May, at the site on Strathaven Road.
An eight tonne digger and a 14 tonne excavator were set on fire. The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Services and no one was injured.
Detective Constable Stuart Adams said: “We are treating this as wilful fire-raising and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area that could assist with our investigation is asked to get in touch.”
