Witness appeal following serious crash A760, Lochwinnoch to Kilbirnie road
Road policing officers are appealing following a serious crash on the A760 Lochwinnoch to Kilbirnie road on Friday, 17 May, 2024.
The incident happened around 12.20pm and involved a black Ducati motorbike and a grey Fiat Ducato motorhome.
Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike, a 37-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for the treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the motorhome, a 66-year-old man, was uninjured.
The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened around 9.30pm.
Sergeant Sean Dempsey said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are asking anyone who saw what happened or either of the two vehicles before the crash to get in touch.
“We would be particularly keen to speak with the driver of a vehicle which was overtaken by the motorbike around the time of the crash.
“I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation to contact us.”
