Two arrested and charged after cannabis worth £105k recovered in Hawick
Two men have been arrested and charged following a drugs operation in Hawick on Thursday, 9 May, 2024.
Around 10.30am officers executed a warrant at a property on Havelock Street and discovered a cannabis cultivation within.
Around 360 plants have been seized, worth an estimated street value of approximately £105,000.
Two men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences. They are due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today, Friday, 10 May.
Detective Chief Inspector Robert Campbell of Dalkeith CID said: “This is a significant recovery which underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“We will always look to act on any information received on the supply of illegal substances and would encourage anyone with information about drugs in their area to get in touch.
