Scott Nairns jailed for attempted murder in Falkirk
A 52-year-old man has been sentenced in connection with an attempted murder in Falkirk that happened in March, 2022.
Scott Nairns was sentenced to 8 years in prison at Livingston High Court on Wednesday, 22 May, 2024, for an unprovoked attack on a 63-year-old man at Glynwed Court in the town.
The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Nairns was also given a 99 year non-harassment order
Detective Constable Lauren Wotherspoon said: “This was an unprovoked attack that left a man with life threatening injuries. The family of the victim and the local community were affected by the nature of this crime.
“Nairns now faces the consequences of his actions and we hope that brings some comfort to his victim.
“The family of the victim would like to thank the community, particularly those who stopped at the time.”
