Death following motorcycle crash on the A822 in Perthshire
A 65-year-old motorcyclist involved in a collision in Perthshire has died.
Around 2.10pm on Friday, 17 May, 2024 officers were called to a two-vehicle crash on the A822 Gilmerton to Amulree involving a blue Honda motorcycle and a silver Ford Transit van.
The 65-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with serious injuries, where he later died on Monday, 27 May. His family have asked for their privacy to be respected.
Officers are continuing to appeal for information which may assist in establishing exactly what happened.
Sergeant Brian McEwen said : “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2167 of Friday, 17 May, 2024.”
