Cyclist seriously injured on C5 road, near Culross
Officers are appealing for information after a cyclist was seriously injured on the C5 road, near Blair Castle.
Around 3.45pm on Saturday 18 May, 2024, a male cyclist came off his bike on the Culross to Longannet Road near Blair Castle.
Emergency service attended and the 67-year-old man was taken to hospital in Edinburgh where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
Sergeant Michael Thomson said: “It is not clear what caused the man to fall from his bike, but he has sustained serious injuries and it’s important we establish the full circumstances. I am aware some motorist stopped to assist the cyclist and I am asking them to contact us. I am also appealing for anyone with dash cam equipment to check the footage as it could assist our ongoing inquiries.”
