Appeal for information follow a break-in and theft in Linlithgow
Officers are appealing for information following a housebreaking and theft of two cars in Linlithgow, West Lothian.
Around 12.15pm on Saturday, 11 May, it was found that entry had been forced to a property in the Riccarton Road area of the town and a blue Mercedes AMG and a blue Skoda Octavia were missing.
The Octavia was subsequently recovered in the Glendevon Park area of Winchburgh later that day and the Mercedes the following day in the Dalum Drive area of Loanhead in Midlothian.
Detective Constable Matt Moran said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible for the housebreaking and theft of the cars.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in Linlithgow, Winchburgh and Midlothian.
“If you saw the Mercedes, registration M13 KJP, or the Skoda, registration BJ3 VZS, at any of these locations then please get in touch.
“We are also asking people to check their private CCTV and dash-cams to see if there is footage that could assist with our enquiries.”
