Appeal for information after truck set on fire in Ayr
Officers are appealing for information after a Ford flatbed pickup truck was deliberately set on fire in Ayr.
The incident happened on Prestwick Road near to Lisburn Road around 9.20pm on Thursday, 16 May, 2024.
The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
Detective Constable Michael Grant said: “Thankfully no one was hurt as a result of this reckless act.
“We are treating the fire as deliberate and are asking anyone with any information to come forward and speak to officers.
“I would ask if you noticed anyone acting suspicious in the area to get in contact with police and I would also appeal to anyone who has possible dashcam or CCTV footage that may be able to assist us with our enquiries.”
