Appeal following serious crash in Cumbernauld
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in Cumbernauld.
Around 6.50pm on Thursday, 30 May, 2024 officers were called to a report of a collision involving a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a red Hyundai Tucson car on the B8039, near to Lenziemill Road, Cumbernauld.
Emergency services attended and the motorcycle rider, a 28-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, with serious injuries.
The driver and passengers of the Hyundai Tucson were conveyed to University Hospital Monklands, Airdrie, and released after treatment for minor injuries.
The road was closed for around four hours to allow for investigations to take place.
Sgt Gemma Blackadder said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who has not already spoken to officers and can assist with our investigation to get in touch
"We would also like to see any dashcam footage from the area, especially any that captures the motorcycle prior to the collision happening."
