Appeal following fatal crash on Old Skene Road, Aberdeenshire

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on Old Skene Road, Kirkton of Skene, in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened around 7pm on Tuesday, 28 May, and involved a silver Volkswagaon Polo.

Emergency services attended and the driver, an 84-year-old man, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he later died.

Sergeant Peter Henderson said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to come forward. In addition, if you have dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation then please get in touch.”
