Appeal following assault in Glen Cannich area of East Kilbride

Police are appealing for information following the reported assault of a female youth in East Kilbride.

The incident is believed to have taken place in the Glen Cannich area, around 8pm on Wednesday, 24 April, 2024. It was subsequently reported to police on Monday, 29 April, 2024.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

It is understood that a male member of the public intervened and officers are appealing for him or anyone with further information to come forward.

Constable Andrew McLeod, from East Kilbride Police Station, said: “If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0792 of 29 April, 2024.”
