Appeal after cars set alight in Dumbarton

Police in Dumbarton are appealing for information following the wilful fireraising of two vehicles within a commercial yard in the West Bridgend area.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 1.30am and 2am on Monday, 22 April, 2024.

Officers assisted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at the scene and the fires are being treated as suspicious.

Detective Constable Darren Campbell, from Clydebank CID, said: “We are appealing for anyone with information on the fires, or if you believe you saw any suspicious activity near to West Bridgend, to please come forward.

“You can call police on 101, quoting incident 0253 of 22 April, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
