Anti-social behaviour patrols in Perth and Kinross
On Friday, 10 May, 2024 officers carried out patrols and engagement work to address anti-social behaviour in Perth and Kinross.
This included high visibility foot and mobile patrols, where officers engaged with members of the public to provide safety advice and reassurance.
During this time there were a number of anti-social incidents where groups of people were dispersed and offences dealt with accordingly. One male youth was charged in connection with a disturbance and a report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.
Officers also stopped a number of vehicles for anti-social driving and other road traffic offences. One driver failed a roadside breath test on South Street. The 43-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection.
Sergeant Scott Hebbourn said: “Keeping the public and road network safe is a priority for us.
“We want people to enjoy a night out and feel safe. Anti-social behaviour can cause misery and our communities are for everyone to enjoy.
“Anti-social behaviour and drink driving causes a risk to others and will not be tolerated. Officers will take robust action when required.
“Anyone with concerns about this kind of behaviour should report it via 101.”
