Euan Kirkwood jailed for sexual offences in the North East
A 38-year-old-man convicted of serious sexual offences has been sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Euan Kirkwood was convicted for serious sexual offences, including the rape of a woman in the North East in March 2021.
On Friday, 15 March, 2024, he was sentenced seven years imprisonment with a further two years extended sentence. He was also given a 99 year Non-Harassment Order in respect of his victim.
Detective Inspector Gordon Patullo, of the Domestic Abuse Task Force, said: "Kirkwood will now face the consequences of his despicable actions.
"We treat all reports of sexual crime seriously and I would urge anyone who has been a victim to come forward, no matter how much time has passed, and report it to police.
"Be assured we will fully investigate, and you will be supported by police and our partner agencies.”
