Appeal for information following fatal crash on A75
Road policing officers in Dumfries are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A75.
The crash happened on the A75 Gretna to Stranraer Road, near Dalscone roundabout around 11.30am on Sunday, 3 March, 2024 involving a white Ford Fiesta and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
The 29-year-old male driver of the Ford Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The 67-year-old female driver of the Vauxhall Corsa was unhurt.
Police Sergeant David Kerr: “Our inquiries are continuing to understand the full circumstances of what happened. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.
“The road re-opened at 0030 hours on Monday, 4 March, 2024. I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious collision.”
