Appeal for information after boat was vandalised in Orkney
Detectives in Orkney are appealing for information after a boat was vandalised.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, 24 March, 2024 at the breakwater pier in Stromness.
Detective Sergeant Marcus Shearer of CID said: “Significant damage was caused to the boat by allowing water to flood the engine compartment. This will be costly in repairs for the owner.
“We are reviewing CCTV and carrying out local enquiries to identify the person or people responsible. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious to please get in touch with us.”
