Appeal following serious assault in East Kilbride
Officers are appealing following a serious assault in the High Common Road area of East Kilbride.
The incident happened around 12.55pm on Tuesday, 5 March, when a 44-year-old man was assaulted in the street.
Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Enquiries have established that three men and a woman were seen at the scene around the time of the incident.
The first man is described as slim built, average height, wearing a grey hooded top, black jogging bottoms and dark trainers.
The second man had an average build and was average height, wearing a black long-sleeved top with a white stripe across the shoulders, black bottoms and black and white trainers.
The third man is described as slim built and average height, wearing a grey t-shirt with a black panel across the chest and sleeves.
The woman is described as slim built and average height, with blonde hair in a ponytail, wearing a blue/grey sports bra and leggings, and white trainers. She may have had a tattoo on her right arm.
Detective Constable Karen Hay said: “This incident is being treated as a serious assault and we are keen to speak to anyone with information that could assist with our ongoing enquiries to establish what happened. The road was also busy at the time of the incident any vehicles with dashcam footage are urged to make contact with police.
