Appeal after woman seriously injured in A93 collision
Road policing officers are appealing for information after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision on the A93 in Aberdeenshire.
The incident happened on the Aberdeen to Banchory road near to Milton of Crathes around 7.20pm on Sunday, 24 March.
The incident involved a 52-year-old female pedestrian and a white Renault Twingo car.
The pedestrian was conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance. Her injuries are described as being life-threatening.
The 23-year-old female driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed for around five and a half hours to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Road Policing Sergeant Peter Henderson said: "Enquiries are ongoing into this tragic incident and our thoughts are with all those involved.
“Anyone who believes they may have seen the vehicle or pedestrian is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident PS-2979 of 24 March.
“Similarly anyone who believes they may have dashcam footage relevant to the enquiry is asked to get in touch.”
