Appeal after man assaulted – Alexandria
Police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly assaulted in Alexandria on Friday, 1 March 2024.
Around 10.30am, the 44-year-old man was entering a close on O’Hare when it is alleged that he was approached from behind, threatened and then assaulted by a man who claimed to be armed with a weapon. The suspect ran off empty-handed towards Stirling Road.
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident but has been released pending further enquiries.
Detective Constable Campbell, Clydebank CID, is appealing for witnesses. He said:
“Officers are carrying out door to door enquiries in the area and checking CCTV, however, we’d ask people to get in touch if you saw the attack or have any information, including doorbell footage, that may assist our investigation.”
