Woman dies following road crash on the A70 at Ochiltree
An 88-year-old woman who was seriously injured in a road crash on the A70 at Ochiltree has died in hospital.
The incident, which involved a car and a HGV on the A70 Ochiltree to Coalhill at the junction of the Killoch, occurred around 1.30pm on Tuesday, 4 June, 2024.
The woman, who was a passenger in the MG ZS, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she later died on the evening of Monday, 10 June.
The 59-year-old female driver of the MG ZS was also taken to hospital and medical staff describe her condition as critical.
The 30-year-old male driver of the HGV was not injured.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the lady who died and we are continuing our enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
“I would also ask anyone who was travelling on the road around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
