Police seize cocaine worth £1.8 million during operation in Robroyston area of Glasgow
Police have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of £1.8 million as part of an intelligence-led operation in the Robroyston area of Glasgow.
On the evening of Thursday, 6 June, 2024, officers executed a warrant at a property in Wallacewell Road and recovered 22.8 kilograms of the Class A drug.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 10 June, 2024.
Detective Chief Inspector Laura Sands from Police Scotland’s Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit said:
“This is a very significant recovery and sends a clear message that we will not tolerate illegal drugs in our communities and our officers are determined to protect members of the public from this harmful criminality.
“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy and we will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle this issue and make our communities safer.
