Body found in search for Anne McNeillie in Ayr

Around 2.50pm on Monday, June 17 June, 2024, the body of a woman was found in the water near Station Road, Ayr.

Formal identification has still to take place but the family of Anne McNeillie, 58, reported missing in the town on Sunday, 16 June, have been made aware.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
