Appeal following theft from vehicle in the Scottish Borders
Officers are appealing for information following a report of a theft from a vehicle in the Scottish Borders.
Between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Thursday, 30 May, a white VW Tiguan vehicle was broken into in the Cardrona Forest public car park. A number of items were taken from inside the vehicle.
PC Craig Turnbull said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously. In particular, we would like to speak to the two women with a transit van observed having a picnic around the time of the incident.
"We encourage vehicle owners to remember to keep all vehicles locked when unattended and remove all valuables or store them safely out of sight.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2382 of 30 May. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
