Appeal following housebreaking and theft at depot in Hawick
Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking and theft which occurred at a depot in the Hawick area in the early hours of Wednesday, 19 June, 2024.
Around 6.10am a staff member arrived at the premises in Lower Mansfield Road to discover it had been broken into.
From enquiries carried out so far it is believed that two tipper trucks were stolen along with some machinery and high-value gardening equipment.
The cost of the theft and damage is estimated to be worth more than £100,000.
Detective Constable Callum Wood said: “Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing for the local community to pass on any information which could help our investigation.
“We would particularly urge anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area to please check in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.
