Appeal following crash on Waggon Road in Ayr
Road policing officers are appealing following a two-vehicle crash on Waggon Road in Ayr.
The incident happened around 2.15pm on Friday, 31 May, near to the junction with Peebles Street and involved a blue mobility scooter and a blue BMW 5 series car.
A 65-year-old woman, the mobility scooter user, was taken to Crosshouse hospital where her condition is described as critical.
The car driver was not injured.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstance and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
“We are also asking people to check their dash-cam and private CCTV to see if they have captured anything that could help with our investigation.
“Anyone who can assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2222 of Friday, 31 May, 2024.
