Man convicted of firearms offences in Glasgow
A 38-year-old man has been convicted of firearms offences in Glasgow.
Salvatore Lupi pleaded guilty at the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday, 9 July, 2024 following a significant firearms recovery last year.
Officers from Police Scotland’s Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit (OCCTU) executed a warrant at a property in Benview Street around 12.55pm on Friday, 20 October, 2023.
Firearms and a quantity of ammunition were recovered from his home.
Detective Superintendent Steven Elliot from OCCTU said: “This was a significant recovery and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
