CCTV appeal following serious assault in Bellshill
Police Scotland has released images of two men officers wish to speak to who might be able to assist with enquiries into a serious assault in Bellshill.
The incident happened around 11.50pm on Saturday, 9 March, 2024, outside a premises on Calder Street, near to Rosevale Crescent, in Bellshill.
A 49-year-old man sustained a serious injury after he was assaulted by four men.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on 2nd April 2024.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers urge the men in the images, or anyone who may know them, to get in touch.
The first man is described as being white, bald, and of medium build. He was wearing a dark blue top, light coloured jeans and white trainers.
The second man is described as being white, in his early 20’s and has short dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans, and white trainers with dark soles. He has a tattoo on his left upper arm.
Detective Constable Adele Johnston, of Wishaw CID, said: “This was a violent attack on a member of the public. This man sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
“This is a busy residential area and I would urge anyone who either saw these men, or who recognises their description, to come forward and contact us."
