Appeal following serious crash on the A939 near Grantown-on-Spey
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A939 near Grantown-on-Spey.
The crash involving a red Vauxhall Corsa and a red and black Ducati Multistrada motorbike, happened around 4.05pm on Saturday, 27 July, 2024, on the A93 Grantown-on-Spey to Nairn road at the junction with the A940 at Loch Allan.
Emergency services attended and the 49-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken to Raigmore Hospital and later transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to what are described as serious injuries.
The male driver of the car did not require hospital treatment.
The road was closed to allow for investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 10.15pm.
Sergeant David Miller said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and I am appealing for anyone who has any information which could assist to contact us.
“I would particularly appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who witnessed the crash and has not already spoken to officers or who has dash cam footage which may assist to get in touch.”
