Appeal following crash on Paisley Road West, Glasgow
Road policing officers in Glasgow are appealing for information following a crash on Paisley Road West involving a HGV and an e-scooter.
The collision happened around 11am on Friday, 5 July, 2024, between the junctions of Corkerhill Road and Dunellan Street.
Emergency services attended and the 54-year-old rider was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Medical staff describe his injuries as life-threatening.
The road was closed for around four hours to allow enquiries to be carried out.
Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “This collision occurred on a busy road in the middle of the day, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“If you have any relevant dashcam footage or private CCTV that could assist our investigation or saw an e-scooter in the area prior to the crash, please contact us.”
