Appeal following assault on a footpath in the Leven Court area of Dumbarton
Officers are appealing for information following an assault on a footpath in Dumbarton.
The incident happened between 1.25pm and 1.35pm on Saturday, 27 July, underneath the Artizan bridge on the path leading to Leven Court in the town.
A 37-year-old man was assaulted and his mobile phone was taken. He was taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital for treatment.
Detective Constable Andrew Baldacci, of Clydebank CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and trace those responsible.
“Two men were seen at the time and we are keen to speak to them as we believe they can assist with our investigation.
“The area was busy at the time and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened as all information could be important to our enquiries.
