Two men sentenced for the murder of Christopher McCallum McGee in Hamilton
Two men who were convicted of murder following the death of Christopher McCallum McGee in Hamilton in November, 2021 have been jailed.
David McMahon, 41, and William McMahon, 47, were found guilty of murder at the High Court in Glasgow.
Today (Tuesday, 23 January, 2024) David was sentenced to 16 years in prison and William was sentenced to 15 years and six months in prison.
Christopher McCallum McGee died in hospital on Monday, 8 November, 2021 after being found injured within the garden of a property on Hill Street, Hamilton on Friday, 5 November, 2021.
Detective Chief Inspector Hannah Edward said: “David and William are now facing the consequences of their actions.
“I hope that this sentence brings some degree of closure to the family and friends of Christopher and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“Violence will not be tolerated and Police Scotland is committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
