Drugs worth £150,000 recovered in Aberdeen
Drugs with an estimated street value of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£150,000) were recovered following an intelligence-led search in Aberdeen.
Around 8.15am on Thursday, 11 January, 2024, officers searched a property in Belmont Street, Aberdeen and recovered a quantity of cannabis plants.
A man, aged 26, was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Count on Friday 12 January 2024.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Mark Rennie, of the Safer City Unit, said: “A significant amount of cannabis has been seized and removed from circulation. It highlights our dedication to the crackdown on illicit drugs in our communities and we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
