Appeal for information following collision in Kilmarnock
Police in Kilmarnock are appealing for information following a crash involving a pedestrian and a car.
It happened on Mosshead Road around 7.10pm on Friday, 19 January, 2024.
The car, a red Audi, left the scene and was later traced abandoned on an unclassified road between the A719 and B744, Tarbolton. It was established the car had been stolen from Livingston area.
The 43-year-old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.
Detective Constable Ross Brierley said: “Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“If you were in the Mosshead Road area on Friday night and witnessed anything suspicious or believe you can assist with our enquiries in any way, please get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone with private CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcams to review their footage of the area and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
