Appeal following serious assault – Cadder, Glasgow
Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Cadder, Glasgow, on Friday, 26 January 2024.
Around 3pm, a disturbance took place on Herma Street which resulted in an 18-year-old man being injured. He was treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has since been discharged.
Detective Constable Kevin Ford, Maryhill CID, said:
“From our enquiries so far, we know that there had been an initial disturbance in the street, near the local primary school, involving the 18-year-old man, who was driving a car at the time, and one other man. A further incident has then taken place, again in Herma Street, involving the same two men and one other man. The two men attacked the 18-year-old in the garden of a house before one drove off in a silver/grey Jeep type car and the other walked away.
“This assault didn’t involve any pupil at the school; it happened as the school was coming out. There were a lot of people in the area at the time picking up children and I am sure someone there would have witnessed what happened.
“Officers have been checking CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries since the attack, but would appeal to anyone not yet spoken to by police to come forward.”
The suspects are described as:
1. White, approximately 35-years-old, 6ft in height, has short blondish hair, and was wearing an all-blue tracksuit.
2. White, approximately 50-years-old, 5ft 11 in height, with grey hair and balding. He was wearing a red jacket.
