Appeal following road incident – Leachkin Road, Inverness
Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found seriously injured on Leachkin Road, Inverness on Sunday, 28 January 2024.
Around 2.30pm, a motorist came to the aid of the 54-year-old man who he had seen lying on the road near to Lawyers Way and Highfield Avenue.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness initially but has since been transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
Sergeant Douglas Scott, Road Policing Unit, Inverness, said:
“This is quite a busy road used and so I am appealing to anyone who was in the area between 2.20pm and 2.30pm or saw the man come off his bike to come forward.”
