Woman dies following fatal fire in Coatbridge
A 63-year-old woman has died following a fire at a property on Laird Street, Coatbridge.
The fire was reported around 7.45pm on Wednesday, 31 January, 2024. Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been made aware. Her family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.
A joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is ongoing to establish the full circumstances. However, there are no apparent suspicious circumstances at this time.
