Pedestrian dies after being struck by a car in Montrose
A woman has died after being struck by a car in Montrose.
The incident happened at a parking area near to a bus stop on Teviot Place in the town around 4.35pm on Thursday, 8 February.
The collision involved a black Mercedes Benz A Class and the 78-year female pedestrian.
The woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where she died during the evening of Sunday, 11 February.
No one else was injured.
Sergeant William Strachan of the Tayside Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman involved in the incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam or private CCTV from the area.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3045 of 9 February.”
