Appeal for information on vehicles connected to housebreaking incidents
Detectives are investigating a series of housebreaking incidents which have occurred in Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire.
The incidents happened between Monday, 20 November, 2023 and Saturday, 3 February, 2024.
While there is no evidence to confirm they are linked, there are similarities to each case and many resulted in valuable personal items being stolen.
Officers are appealing for information on four vehicles which they believe are linked to the housebreaking incidents. The four vehicles are a black BMW Series 1, a white Volkswagen Golf, a black VW Golf, and a grey Audi RS3
Areas targeted throughout this period include properties in Robroyston, Maryhill, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Hogganfield, Garthamlock, Kelvindale, Jordanhill, Govanhill, Nitshill, Newton Mearns and Darnley. All the incidents occurred late afternoon or early evening.
Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity involving the vehicles mentioned. I appreciate many of these crimes took place some time ago, but I would ask people to think back and consider if they saw anything odd or suspicious. We are keeping an open mind about whether these incidents are linked and there are significant similarities between each of the crimes which indicates they could be connected.”
