Appeal for information following vehicle fires in Beith

Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising incident which occurred in the Beith area of North Ayrshire on the evening of Wednesday, 21 February, 2024.

Around 6pm officers were called to Acacia Drive where three vehicles had been set alight.

From enquiries carried out so far it is understood that a grey or silver car was seen in the street around the time of the incident.

Detective Inspector Ewan Bell said: “Extensive enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding this reckless incident and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“We would like to speak to anyone who noticed anything at all suspicious as well as people with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area from Wednesday evening.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2978 of Wednesday, 21 February, 2024. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
