Appeal following wilful fireraising in Coatbridge

We are appealing for information following an incident of wilful fireraising in Coatbridge.

We received a report that between 3.30pm on Thursday, 22 February and 4pm on Friday, 23 February a black Vauxhall Astra parked on Kirk Street, near to Endrick Court was set alight.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable David Williamson said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this incident.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the fire or who has any information which may assist us and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam or private CCTV footage to contact us.”
