Appeal following disturbance in Nelson Street in Greenock
Officers are appealing for information following a disturbance at a carpark in the Nelson Street area of Greenock.
The incident happened around 2.30pm on Thursday, 1 February, 2024, within the car park area of Greenock Sports Centre.
Two male youths, aged 16 and 17, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital. They were released following treatment.
Detective Constable Ruth Elder said: “Our enquiries so far indicate that a group of youths were seen in the area at the time and they left the car park in the direction of the town centre.
“We are keen to speak to them or anyone else who may be able to help with our investigation into this incident.
“We believe several members of the public may have seen what happened and we are asking them to come forward.”
