Appeal following assault and robbery in Hamilton
Officers are appealing after a woman was assaulted and robbed in the Hill Street area of Hamilton.
The 47-year-old woman was approached by two women around 7.30pm on Tuesday, 6 February.
They threatened her and took several personal items, including her phone and a three-figure sum of cash.
The women were both wearing dark clothes and spoke with local accents. Officers are keen to trace them.
Detective Constable Ross Kirkland said: “Fortunately the woman was not badly injured and did not require medical treatment but she has been left distraught and very upset by what has happened.
“I am asking anyone who was in the area at the time and might have seen what happened to get in touch, particularly if you have dash-cam that could assist our enquiries.
“In addition, if you live in the area please check and if you have private CCTV-footage that could help then please make contact.”
