Man arrested and charged following crash on the A96

Around 2.20am on Friday, 27 December, 2024 a car failed to stop for officers on the A96.


A short time later it was traced, having crashed, on the A96 at the junction with the B9092.


The male driver and female passenger were taken to hospital for treatment.


The 32-year-old male driver was arrested and charged in connection and has been released on an undertaking to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court at a later date.


The road was closed and re-opened just before 7am.
