Drugs recoveries from addresses in Cleland and Wishaw
Officers in Lanarkshire have seized controlled drugs worth around £48,000.
On Friday, 20 December, 2024, warrants were executed at a number of addresses in Cleland and Wishaw, in relation to an ongoing investigation into serious and organised crime.
As a result, a quantity of cocaine with an approximate street value of £48,000 was recovered, alongside over £1,000 in cash.
A 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with this recovery. They are due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 December, 2024. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Sergeant Vicky Shanley at Lanarkshire Division Serious and Organised Crime, Acquisitive and Interventions said: "We are determined to protect the public from harmful criminality by disrupting sale of illegal substances and preventing them from being circulated on the streets of our community.
