Appeal for information following theft in Paisley
Officers are appealing for information following a theft in Paisley.
Around 11.10pm on Sunday, 8 December, 2024, a 36-year-old man was within a common close in the George Street area of Paisley when he was approached by a man who stole his mobile phone from him.
He was then threatened before the man made off from the area towards the Canal Street and Main Road area.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged in either his twenties or thirties, and of slim build. He had brown hair and was wearing a dark green hoodie, jogging bottoms that were black and white at the thigh, trainers and spoke with a local accent.
Detective Constable Rob Young said: “Enquiries are continuing into this theft and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything around this time to come forward.
“If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist, or if you saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area, please contact police immediately.”
