Appeal for information following serious assault in Hamilton

Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Hamilton.

The incident happened around 11.20pm on Saturday, 28 December, 2024 on Portland Place.

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as being a white male, aged around 16 to 17-years-old, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with short, brown hair. He was wearing a dark grey tracksuit, a face covering, and glasses. He was accompanied by a group of three other males.

Detective Constable Muhammad Yasar said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed this to come forward.

“In particular, we would like to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3807 of Saturday, 28 December 2024. Alternatively, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
