Appeal following wilful car fire in Paisley

Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful car fire in Paisley.

The incident involving a silver Vauxhall Meriva, happened on Hollows Avenue, Paisley, around 7pm on Sunday, 8 December, 2024.

The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.

Detective Sergeant Jamie McAteer said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the fire or anything suspicious in the area around the time to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could help to get I touch.”
