Appeal following fatal crash on Carntyne Road, Glasgow
We are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Glasgow.
Around 12.35pm on Wednesday, 4 December, 2024 officers were called to a report of a green Vauxhall Insignia having crashed in the Carntyne Road area.
Emergency services attended and the driver, a 59-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed of his death.
No one else was injured.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time. We will continue to support them throughout the investigation.
"We would like to thank the members of the public who stopped to help before emergency services arrived. I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, and who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in this area around that time and who may have dashcam footage which could assist us to contact us.”
