Appeal following fatal crash on B9001 near Inverurie
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash near Inverurie.
Around 3.20pm on Saturday, 7 December, 2024 officers were called to a report of a crash on the B9001 Inverurie to Rothienorman road, just outside Inverurie, involving a grey Citroen C2 and a white Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the Citroen, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are aware.
The 20-year-old female passenger of the Citroen and the 60-year-old female driver and 64-year-old male passenger of the Range Rover were all conveyed to hospital for treatment, where they remain in stable condition.
The road was closed for around 10 hours to allow for a full crash investigation to be carried out and was re-opened around 1am on Sunday, 8 December.
Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and those involved in the incident. We will continue to support them throughout the investigation.
"I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, and who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.
"I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the crash and who may have dashcam footage which could assist us to contact police."
