Woman robbed in Kirkness Street, Airdrie
Detectives are appealing for information after a 68-year-old woman was robbed in Airdrie on Saturday, 31 August, 2024.
Around 9am, the woman was walking in Central Park, Kirkness Street, when she was approached from behind and robbed of her handbag.
The man responsible was last seen running along Frew Street. He is described as around 5ft 7ins tall with short, dark-coloured hair. He was wearing white jogging trousers and a green jacket.
Detective Constable Billy Murray said: “Luckily the woman wasn’t injured but she is badly shaken as a result of this robbery.
“I would appeal to anyone in the area who saw anything suspicious or may have seen the suspect running holding the woman’s bag to contact us as soon as possible.”
